| 6 | According to the 1880 census, the Wilson household had a collection of people whose relationships are not clear. Gill and Elizabeth seemed to be married "Rebecca" whom I believe is really "Relvia" due to the bad handwriting and matching of approximate birthdate and is listed as Stepdaughter of Gill which matches family story. Etty is of similar age to Relvia and Louis M. Moch's first child. She is listed as illegitimate which implies that she was born before Relvia and Louis married in late 1880. Tom Florence Wilson is listed as adopted. | Family: Wilson, Gill / Wilson, Elizabeth Ellis (F345)

| 14 | Catherine married Thomas before March 1650, shortly after the death of her first husband William Roper, likely in January of 1650 | Family: Sprigg, Lt. Thomas Sr. / Sprigg, Catherine Graves Roper (F431)
| 15 | Catherine was married to Capt. William Roper and had two children, William and Verlinda. Capt. Roper died in Jan 1650 and she married Thomas Sprigg by March 1650. The estate of Capt. Roper was given to Verlinda in a March 1650 estate hearing to which she would receive it upon the earlier of her 17th birthday or marriage. There is no mention of William Jr. in the estate hearing, nor is he noted as to moving to MD with Thomas Sprigg in 1658, however Verlinda is and is presumably a minor. | Sprigg, Catherine Graves Roper (I1324)

Search continued for a week in the jungle before being called off. Family rumor was the plane ran out of gas but have not found any confirmation of that theory. | Savage, George Campbell (I87)
| 20 | Etta is possibly the illegitimate girl 1-year old (Etty) that was living with Gill Wilson in the 1880 census. Perhaps the daughter of Rebecca listed as the 16-year old stepdaughter. Rebecca disappears from the records after 1880. It is clear that Louis and Relivia considered her part of the family and seems to have taken her in shortly after their marriage at the end of 1880. Etta is later listed as their daughter. | Sherouse, Etta Moch (I1053)

| 26 | Inscription on tombstone reads "8th of Silver Moon No. 87 F. & A.M." This means that LM Moch was an 8th Degree Mason of the Silver Moon No. 87 of the Free and Amended Masons. Silver is associated with the moon in Masonic tradition and in Vermont there were a number of "Silver Moon" lodges that used that term to meet on nights when there was a full moon to facilitate easy travel to the meetings at night. To have such a inscription on his memorial indicated that he was proud of his fraternal position in the order. No. 87 is confirmed to have been in Keithville, LA. | Moch, Louis Morgan (I1038)
| 27 | It appears that Louis Morgan did not have a close relationship to his father or mother and had a complicated childhood being a child during the Civil War in the Deep South. I can find no record of any other Moch's in Caddo Parish, except for Marx Moch, a local merchant. However, Marx did not arrive in America until 1860. He seems to have two half-siblings, Gill and Mary Wilson who are older than Louis and were born in Alabama as was his mother. Louis was born in Louisiana however and we don't know how his mother and half-siblings got to Louisiana. In the 1870 Census, Louis appears to be living with his half-brother Gill. Mary seems to have married Peter Connor. Peter and Mary Connor had a son, Ananias, who was boarding with Louis according to the 1900 census. Ananias would be Louis' nephew. | Moch, Louis Morgan (I1038)

| 28 | It is my belief that Gregory Ebbert is the brother of Conrad Ebbert. There are several reasons for this: 1. Both trace their birth back to Fulda, Germany. 2. When Conrad died in 1885, Gregory is appointed as one of the executors of the estate. 3. Gregory and Mary lived at 2500 Market Street for nearly their entire time in Wheeling. Over the years, we see various Ebberts outside the family besides their children boarding at this address. One of these is Kate Ebbert, daughter of Conrad Ebbert. It seems that many young adults from farms outside Wheeling went to live in the "big city" with their uncle until they were married or otherwise establishing their own residences. Unfortunately the house no longer stands. The only evidence I can find against this is on his death certificate which lists his father as "John", versus "Marcus or Marquiss" who is cited as the father of Conrad. | Ebbert, Gregory (I820)

| 49 | Significant more detail about Joseph is discussed shallowly in the 18-FEB-1906 Baltimore Sun. Very complicated as it seems that Joseph married 3 widows, each coming from with children, some of whom appropriated the Sprigg name. A later such son, Samuel was adopted by his brother Osborne (Jr), whom had no children of his own. Samuel Sprigg eventually became the 17th governor of Maryland in the early 1800's. | Family: Sprigg, Congressman Joseph / Sprigg, Hannah Lee Bowie (F443)
| 50 | Some clues regarding the Ebbert photo album and relationships between the 5 branches of Ebberts of Wheeling. 1. Gregory Ebbert is the executor of Conrad Ebbert's will 2. #22 GC&P Road shows up as the residence of many Ebberts over the years, but seems to be owned by John B. Ebbert. It also seems that his sister Catherine and Campbell Savage lived next door. #22 seems to be a parking lot today. 3. John Ebbert and Campbell Savage were both in state road work, John seems to have been there longer and perhaps got him that job after the Savage barn fire. 4. George and Paul Ebbert were both in law enforcement and lived on the same street (Park Ave.) off of Edgington Lane 5. Louisa Ebbert Wagner and Katherine Ebbert Habig attended the same church as Kate Ebbert Savage, St. Alphonsus in downtown Wheeling 6. Louisa Caritas Ebbert picture at #22 GC&P? Note there are also Eberts in Wheeling, but no connection to the Ebberts from what I can determine. | Savage, Catherine Mary Ebbert (I44)
